Lucozade Sport brings a statue to life in high-energy TV spot
As many of us set new fitness targets in 2023, Lucozade Sport is encouraging the nation to get moving in its new TV campaign. Creating by Adam & Eve/DDB, the 30-second ad features a statue that, following a sip of Lucozade Sport, can’t seem to help but move. The statue then proceeds to take part in numerous exercises and sports including invading a football match and weightlifting with a streetlight.
Why is this important?
The aim of the campaign is to uplift and energise people, encouraging them to reach their exercise potential whilst showing that Lucozade Sport can be suitable for any level of athletic ability. The senior creatives at Adam & Eve/DDB stated that “Everybody is made to move, whether you’re an athlete, a non-athlete, or an inanimate statue made of stone. Those are just facts.”
Microsoft and BigCommerce team up to launch new marketplace Ads and Listings
Microsoft and BigCommerce just announced a new partnership called “Microsoft Ads and Listings in the BigCommerce Marketplace.” The new collaboration enables BigCommerce merchants in the US, UK and ANZ to directly integrate their stores and reach Microsoft Advertising’s audience of more than a billion people. BigCommerce merchants can synchronize product catalogues directly to Microsoft Merchant Centre. They can then create shopping campaigns to promote product catalogues and track campaign performance, without leaving the BigCommerce Control Panel.
Why is this important?
The Microsoft Advertising Network connects BigCommerce merchants with people who have greater purchasing power, engage more with ads and are more likely to make a purchase online. With Microsoft Ads and Listings, BigCommerce merchants can connect with customers in new ways, achieving a strong return on spend to drive long-term growth.
Twitter to relax ban on political ads
Twitter is set to relax its ban on political ads after it banned some forms of political advertising in 2019. Elon Musk’s social media service said it would begin to permit cause-based advertising to “facilitate public conversation around important topics.”
Why is this important?
Musk has said one of his goals in taking over Twitter was to loosen its rules about the kinds of content that would be allowed on the platform, but this spooked major brands, some of which have paused their spending on Twitter to keep their ads from appearing alongside controversial tweets. This latest move could open Twitter to more revenue as it tries to lure advertisers back to the platform.

Reset is behind this new initiative, calling people up and down the country to come together and help refugees integrate into their new environment.
Why is it important?
The importance of making people feel included can never be understated. This campaign will make refugees feel more welcome and show how communities across the UK come together to support each other.
